When Perry started his first computer service company in 1982, computers were just starting out. During a computer class Perry took at a Training School in Minnesota, an instructor told the class, "I'm not going to teach you how to fix computers." The students looked at each other and thought, "Why are we here?" The instructor then said, "I'm going to show you what makes a computer work and then you'll be able to fix them." Made sense.
